Section Data Source: University
Faculty File
The number of faculty at or
nearing retirement age is significant and underscores the substantial
task that recruiting new faculty for the campus will have in the
immediate decade ahead. The large numbers of faculty
reaching retirement age, coupled with future enrollment growth
expected, will require the campus to search for more new faculty
members each year. This level of recruitment activity is
projected to increase in the future, assuming, of course, that
the state's budget support for higher education will improve in
the years ahead and enrollments will increase.
